Copper Shores Community Picnic (2026)
Camp Josh was proud to be among more than 45 community vendors at the Copper Shores Community-Wide Picnic on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the George Gipp Recreation Area and Ice Arena. Created as a small thank you for years of community support, the annual picnic brought the Copper Country together for an afternoon of fun, connection, and celebration. It was also a wonderful opportunity to recognize the incredible work being done by community partners throughout the area.
Camp Josh had the chance to share our mission and connect with community members throughout the afternoon. JR also joined a 30-minute radio segment to talk about Camp Josh, highlight recent improvements at camp, and share more about the opportunities we are working to provide for people with disabilities, Veterans, youth, and their families. Camp Josh President, Eugene Lewis, was on hand representing Camp Josh, handing out t-shirts and talking with attendees about the camp, its mission, and the exciting things happening at Camp Josh. It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, community spirit, and meaningful conversations. We are grateful to Copper Shores for creating an event that brings people together and gives local organizations like Camp Josh the opportunity to share their stories and connect with the community that continues to support us.
Thank you, Copper Shores, for a wonderful afternoon and for celebrating the people and organizations working to make the Copper Country an even better place.
